I am a second year PhD student in the school of natural and environmental sciences with a project focus on sustainable and environmentally sound pest protection methods for glasshouse grown tomato. After attending a conference on integrated pest management last year, I had a very productive conversation with members of a research group in Avignon (France) who also work on protection methods for glasshouse grown tomato. We spoke of a potential collaboration between our research groups and I am intrigued by the possibility of this research grant facilitating this.
